Capture Overview
Kaish Capture is the simple Mac input tool: record, mark, review, and hand the game to the rest of Kaish.
Live Capture
Create a session, choose Blackmagic or a compatible macOS camera source, select audio and storage, then record. Code Window tags are added without stopping live preview. With eligible Elite or Team access, compatible direct Blackmagic sessions can provide separate Mac DVR playback and same-network iPad Bench DVR.
Review Video
Open one or multiple recorded segments, use the saved coding layout, review rows and clips, and export the selection or complete timeline. Opening a current portable .kaishcode restores the session and its contained media; legacy reference files may need relinking.
What Capture does not replace
Capture stays intentionally simple. Kaish Analyst owns advanced multi-timeline review, cross-folder Find, reusable libraries, standalone presentations, reports, and professional exports. Kaish App and Web own team coaching and sharing workflows.
Typical handoff
- Stop and finalize the recording.
- Open the saved
.kaishcodeand verify a clip. - Send selected rows, selected clips, or the complete timeline to Analyst; or export the supported share file for Kaish App/Web.
- Keep the original package and media until the receiver confirms playback.
