Capture Pro

Live Capture and Live DVR

Live Capture is the recording and live tagging area for Capture Pro.

Before recording

  1. Connect supported Blackmagic capture hardware.
  2. Install Blackmagic Desktop Video if the device is not detected.
  3. Confirm the source signal is active.
  4. Choose a session title, sport profile, recording quality, and save location.
  5. Open Diagnostics if the device, runtime, or signal needs checking.

Capture Pro records through the proven main one-file recording path. Live DVR uses safe finalized DVR media and does not replace the main recording file.

Record a session

  1. Open Live Capture.
  2. Verify preview and input format.
  3. Click Record.
  4. Create tags with Code Window, Coach Clips, or manual live rows.
  5. Click Stop when the segment is finished.
  6. Wait for finalization before Review handoff or Quick Share.

Live DVR

Live DVR is designed for coach review during or immediately after capture. It uses finalized DVR media only. Pending or unready media shows as pending instead of trying to play an active growing file.

  • Ready clips can play in the DVR pop-out.
  • Space toggles playback in the DVR pop-out when no text field is active.
  • Selected ready tags can play through finalized DVR media.
  • Free DVR scrubbing can play from a ready point through the current finalized ready range.

Live DVR does not change the main recording file and does not write Review rows until you explicitly send a finalized segment to Review Coding.

Send to Review Coding

  1. After Stop/finalization, choose the Review Game or New Review Game target.
  2. Choose a segment label, such as Period 1, Period 2, Period 3, OT, or Custom Segment.
  3. Send the finalized capture to Review Coding.

This creates Review tags from completed live markers and references the finalized recording. Raw Review timing and XML timing are not mutated.

Quick Share Segment

Quick Share Segment creates a focused standalone .kaishcapturepro package with media for the finalized segment. Use it when you need to hand a single segment to another Mac quickly.

Quick Share does not require Clip Hub, Package Clips, Presentation Builder, or Export Center.
