Use Capture Pro for deeper coding, hotkeys, event rows, and structured video staff workflows.
Settings sections
- Capture / Hardware: capture and device guidance.
- Shortcuts / Hotkeys: transport and hotkey rules.
- Coach Clips / Quick Flags: optional Review-side quick tags.
- App Defaults: normal app-level preferences.
- File Types / Documents: supported Kaish document types and help link.
- Diagnostics / Maintenance: advanced troubleshooting tools.
Coach Clips / Quick Flags
Coach Clips are optional Review-side quick tags. They are not the full coding system. Starter Coach Clips include Keeper, Review Later, and Quick Note.
Use Tag Matrix / Code Window for full coding layouts, linked states, labels, prompt-for-note actions, and live or review tag workflows.
Code Window hotkeys
Code Window hotkeys are separate and must be armed. When armed and focused correctly, they can create Live or Review tags. Display Only never writes tags. Code Window armed hotkeys take priority over Coach Clips when conflicts exist.
Transport shortcuts and typing protection
- Space: play/pause on the focused playback surface.
- Shift-Left: bounded rewind or rewind fallback.
- Shift-Right: fast-forward.
- J and L remain available for Code Window / Tag Matrix hotkeys unless a specific surface says otherwise.
Shortcuts do not fire while typing in title, notes, search, prompt, or other text fields. Delete and Backspace are not destructive clip-delete shortcuts.
